Welcome to Our Village Forest and Nature School, a heart-centered learning community for youth of all ages to learn and grow rooted in the rhythms of the earth. Nestled at the beautiful Baer Family Farm, we offer children a chance to learn through play, connection, and stewardship in both forest and farm settings.
We are a community-centered Forest & Farm School offering co-op gatherings, seasonal workshops, and nature-based experiences for families. Rooted in connection, creativity, and the rhythms of the land. Our Village is a space where children and caregivers come together to explore, grow, and build meaningful relationships.
For Fall 2026, we are transitioning into a Forest & Farm Co-Op model — a one-day-per-week, mixed-age outdoor gathering rooted in seasonal rhythms, hands-on learning, and meaningful community connection.
Children and caregivers come together to explore, garden, create, and build relationships on the land.
This is a family-inclusive model. Caregivers remain present and involved, especially with younger children. Older children may participate more independently based on age and readiness.
Children connect deeply to place, seasons, and natural rhythms, making learning meaningful and memorable.
Outdoor adventures build resilience, courage, and self-trust through real challenges and freedom to explore.
From gardening to goat care, kids learn practical life skills that foster responsibility and creativity.
We grow together through shared meals, collaborative play, and multigenerational mentoring.
Time in nature supports emotional regulation, physical health, and joyful expression.

Our cozy 2-acre food forest and garden is getting a fresh breath of life. Once lovingly tended, it’s now ready for a new chapter after the passing of its previous caretaker. We’re rolling up our sleeves (and probably getting dirt under our nails) with community work parties to clear, prune, and plant. Soon, this space will hum with life again—hosting classes, workshops, and hands-on experiences where everyone can learn, grow, and taste the harvest together.
