Join Our

Founding Families

Our inaugural Village Roots cohort will help shape the culture and rhythms of this growing community. We are currently gathering interest and listening closely to families as we prepare for Fall 2026.

The first Village Roots cohort will be limited to a small group of families, creating space for deeper relationships and shared learning.

Our Village Forest & Farm School is a family-centered educational co-op and community learning initiative. Parents remain responsible for supervising their children during co-op gatherings and events.

How

Families Participate

Families Participate Together

Caregivers and children engage side by side — exploring, creating, and experiencing the day together in a shared and supportive environment.

Hands-On, Nature-Based Experiences

From gardening and exploring to creative projects and free play, each gathering invites meaningful, hands-on connection with the land.

Located at

Baer Family Farm

Under the trees in Forest City, NC

Our cozy 2-acre food forest and garden is getting a fresh breath of life. Once lovingly tended, it’s now ready for a new chapter after the passing of its previous caretaker. We’re rolling up our sleeves (and probably getting dirt under our nails) with community work parties to clear, prune, and plant. Soon, this space will hum with life again—hosting classes, workshops, and hands-on experiences where everyone can learn, grow, and taste the harvest together.

Village Circle

Monthly Gatherings & Community Events

Beyond our weekly co-op, Village Circle brings families together through seasonal celebrations, workshops, field trips, service projects, and special gatherings.

Village Circle is open to everyone and offers opportunities to connect, learn, and grow together throughout the year.
